Auchan plans more Romainia openings
In 2011, Auchan, which also recently announced the launch of its local real estate division Immochan, opened two hypermarkets within the freshly launched commercial centers Electroputere Craiova and Maritimo Shopping Center Constanta. Subsequently, the French retailer acquired lands in Bucharest, on the former sites of Tricodava and Grantmetal.
According to the company’s representatives, Auchan plans to reach a 15 strong hypermarket network in Romania by 2015. So far, Auchan has 9 hypermarkets in the country.
