Recall of canned mushrooms in Lidl in Germany

Discounter Lidl has recalled cans of mushrooms in Germany due to possible nucleation. Manufacturer Freshona has indicated that the mushrooms could not be heated due to a manufacturing defect. It concerns a can of 400 grammes with an expiration date of 31 December 2014, of the brand Freshona. Because the mushrooms haven't been heated properly, the forming of bacteria can endanger the health of the consumer. The cans can be returned to Lidl shops. The purchase price will be refunded, even without proof of purchase. Other Lidl mushroom products are separate from this recall.

This recall does not affect all countries that Lidl operates in as this product is not sold throughout the chain.
