Cavalier Produce moved to a state-of-the-art facility

After fifteen years in their current Charlottesville facility, Cavalier Produce relocated to a state-of-the-art, fully-refrigerated warehouse and distribution facility in Louisa County, strategically located close to the I-64 corridor.

The move addressed Cavalier’s need to expand in a larger, temperature controlled location to meet with existing and future demand. “Cavalier Produce continues to specialize in providing locally-sourced produce and specialty items to our clients throughout the state of Virginia. Our goal is to provide the best quality products available to our chefs and clients, while helping our local suppliers to grow their businesses,” says Cavalier Produce President and Owner Denise Yetzer.

The new distribution facility, located at 170 Ferncliff Drive; Louisa, VA 23093, is approximately 25,000 square feet.

One function of the move is an increase in Cavalier’s capacity to bring on new and local vendors, responding to the need for a variety of quality local products.

The move also connects Cavalier to a wider audience, improving their ability to serve the growing Richmond market. Cavalier currently offers products from Rappahannock River Oysters, Twin Oaks, Caromont Farm, Fresh 2 0, and Bellair Farm, among other local businesses. “Cavalier Produce is looking forward to working with more local farms and suppliers to increase distribution and sales.
