River Fresh Farms, a grower-shipper company providing sales, marketing, customized supply chain logistics and consolidated shipping of conventional and organic fresh fruits and vegetables, today announces the addition of Eric Garcia to the Sales team and Maggie Simonic as Office/Accounting Manager.
Garcia most recently worked for Dole. He spent six years as a district sales manager, selling commodities, value added, salads and more. His first agriculture job was as a deputy weight manager for five years with Fresh Express.
The son of a farm working family, Garcia has seen the ag industry from multiple angles and knows the true measure of the work it takes to get product from farm to fork. “We’re planning to get into everything and anything we can here,” said Garcia. “The momentum has been great since I got here. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the team.”
Simonic has worked as a staff accountant for numerous companies, most recently the esteemed law firm of Spiering, Swartz & Kennedy. She spent 10 years as a staff accountant for Lago Marsino Farming in Tulare, and has ample experience in the medical and retail industry as well.
“My goal is to be very supportive and help River Fresh Farms continue their steady growth,” said Simonic.
