The National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) of Thailand, together with the Department of Agricultural Science and Technology and Internationale Zusammenarbeit(GIZ), has joined forces to guide fruit exporters in eastern Thailand to use the Phytosanitary Electronic Certification System(ePhyto System) to prepare for the 2022 Thai fruit export season.

Phi San, Secretary-General believes that the launch of the phytosanitary electronic certification system will create more convenience for Thailand's agricultural and food exports, especially in stimulating Thailand's fruit exports. Using this system, fruit traders can easily obtain relevant certification materials, which will help Thailand to develop the global export market and create stable foreign exchange income for the country.
It is reported that since February 1, 2022, the Department of Agricultural Science and Technology has piloted the e-Phyto certification system on 22 export fruits. These fruits are mainly exported to China, namely durian, mangosteen, longan, young coconut, jackfruit, banana, pineapple, grapefruit, mangoes, sweet tamarind, sago, papaya, star fruit, guava, rambutan, sapodilla, longgong, passion fruit, orange peel, orange, lychee and wax apple.
