In the first quarter, 350 stores went online with 75% coverage across Taiwan

China: Taiwan "PX Mart" and "Foodpanda" team up

Following the cooperation with Uber Eats last year, China Taiwan PX Mart will join hands with “Foodpanda” to expand fresh food e-commerce this year. The goal is to effect the opening of 350 offline stores to put Foodpanda on the shelves in the first quarter. The delivery service coverage rate on the island and outer islands exceed 75 %.

In order to expand the popularization of fresh food delivery, PX Go delivery has cooperated closely with Pandago, Foodpanda’s fast business service since October last year. There are currently 258 PX Mart offline stores on the shelves of Foodpanda products, and the four major benefits include 3,000 items on the product list, covering fresh vegetables and fruits, frozen food, room temperature food, and household groceries.

According to the statistics of PX Mart, PX GO launched the delivery service at the beginning of last year, and the performance of “PXGo! PX Mart Online Shopping” has grown rapidly. This year, with the addition of Foodpanda, the market will be larger, which can attract supermarket customers who shop online. They are optimistic that the coverage rate and customer base will increase, and the business hours will be extended.

Interestingly, last year, the top 3 fresh food e-commerce sales in PZ Mart were kiwi fruit, green vegetables, and fresh milk that are available all year round; if we only look at fruit, the most popular ("AKB") are apples, kiwi fruit, and bananas, with grapes following closely.
