Launch of new biological fungicide formulated with a new generation strain of "Bacillus subtilis"

Seipasa, a Spanish company specialized in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides and biostimulants for agriculture, has announced the launch of Seitylis, a new biological fungicide of natural origin formulated with a late generation and highly efficient Bacillus subtilis strain.

Designed under the company's Natural Technology model, Seitylis acts preventively and curatively to control a wide spectrum of diseases, such as powdery mildew, downy mildew and scab.

According to Francisco Espinosa, the company's R&D&I director, Seitylis represents the consolidation of the extensive knowledge developed by Seipasa in the use of microorganisms as natural enemies of pests and diseases.

"With Seitylis, we are taking another step forward in the research work on the bacterium Bacillus subtilis carried out over the last few years. We have been pioneers in applying this knowledge to agriculture, having already transferred it to the international market through solutions registered in different countries and continents. This is the case for the award-winning biofungicide Fungisei, or the root biostimulant Radisei, registered in Spain," said Espinosa.

"With Seitylis, we make use of the advances made in the application of microorganisms to agriculture and we put those advances in the hands of agricultural producers through a safe solution that offers maximum efficiency and reliability," said the company's R&D&I director.

Antagonist effect and activator of defenses
Seitylis has an antagonistic effect. It displaces pathogenic organisms from their niche and prevents them from developing. It acts by forming a protective biological barrier in the plant that activates the plant's integral defense system.

Seitylis has a short safety period and is suitable for use in organic farming.
