Uzbekistan gets permit to export lemons to China

The Uzbek Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection and the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China have signed a protocol on phytosanitary requirements and control over the export of lemons from Uzbekistan to China.

Uzbek lemons will be exported to China according to the norms of the International Convention on Quarantine and Plant Protection, as well as the legislation of China on food safety. Failure to comply with the requirements may lead to the return or destruction of goods from Chinese border checkpoints. Uzbekistan currently exports lemons to India, Myanmar, Ghana and Japan.
