Avocado and mango, the main products shipped

French imports of Peruvian fruits increase by 12%

During the first half of 2020, French fresh fruit imports amounted to 3.235 billion dollars, i.e. 8% more than in the same period of 2019.

Of that amount, 92 million dollars corresponded to Peruvian fruit imports, 12% more than the previous year, consolidating Peru as France's eighth-biggest supplier of fresh fruit with a 3% share.

The main Peruvian products imported by France were avocados, with a 43% share, and mangoes, with 33%.

France avocado imports in the first half of the year amounted to 40 million dollars, i.e. 24% more than in the same period of 2019. Meanwhile, its mango imports totaled 31 million dollars, 33% higher than in the same period of last year.
