"While demand from Europe slows down"

"Exports of Chinese onions to India increasing"

“After the National Day holiday, the export volume of Chinese onions has soared, especially red onions. This is mainly due to significantly lower production of local onions in India. Currently, the export price of yellow onions is relatively stable, and that of red onions has gone up. However, in the international market, yellow onions are still more popular,” Wang Junjie from Henan Junzhian Food Co., Ltd. said.

“In contrast to the export market situation in India, demand for onion exports in the European market has slowed down this year. Last year, due to the extreme weather, the onion production in the Netherlands, the main producer in Europe, fell sharply, so these markets had to rely on onion imports from other producers, from which China benefited greatly, and export prices once soared, but this year's situation is very different. In general, the production of Dutch onions has returned to normal, and the demand for Chinese onions in the European market has slowed down."

“Our onions come from Gansu, China. Across China, the total production this year has decreased compared with last year. The current export price has increased by about 35 US dollars per ton compared with the same period of last year. Currently, our onions can be used as pre-cut products, mainly for the European market. Skinned onions are supplied in 50-70mm and 80-100mm packaging of 20kg, the longest shipping time to Europe is 45 days."

“In addition to skinned onions, we also export other fresh produce, such as garlic, ginger, and pomelos with a stable supply. We welcome buyers to contact us at any time.”
