According to the Minister, the sowing and planting campaign proceeds on schedule and at the appropriate time the technology requires.

Early spring crops have been sown on 95% of the target area. Brest Oblast, Gomel Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast have already finished sowing these crops. As of 17 April, progress in sowing early spring crops is at 94.1% in Grodno Oblast, 95.4% in Minsk Oblast, and 81.7% in Vitebsk Oblast.

“On the whole, spring crops have been sown and planted on more than 45% of the target area,” the Minister said. Belarusian farmers have planted potatoes on 1,600ha, with vegetables planted on 1,590ha.
