The next edition of Potato Demo Day will take place on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, in Westmaas, the Netherlands. The 2026 event will continue to emphasize knowledge transfer and introduce new components, including a Startup Square and live demonstrations.
Leanne Mol-Van de Erve, Exhibition Manager of Potato Demo Day, said, "We have had many positive reactions about the new set-up. That is why we are even more committed to high-quality knowledge sharing through lectures and demonstrations for the coming edition. But above all, meeting people is also central."
The event aims to serve the entire potato chain, covering all aspects from soil management to processing. It will feature sessions on topics such as cultivation practices, harvesting technology, storage, packaging, and market developments.
New elements in the 2026 edition include the Startup Square, where emerging companies and scale-ups will present new technologies and solutions. Live demonstrations will also be organised, showcasing practical applications beyond harvesting and unloading lines.
Returning features include the Young Farmers Program and the Knowledge Barn, which will host lectures, sessions, and seminars.
Demo fields will once again be set up on the outdoor site, allowing companies to present trial results under real conditions. At the Mechanisatieplein, manufacturers and mechanisation firms from the Netherlands and abroad will display new machinery and applications.
Potato Demo Day is organised every two years by Wageningen University & Research, the Dutch Potato Organisation (NAO), and the Association for the Potato Processing Industry (VAVI). The event focuses on independent knowledge exchange in cultivation, technology, market trends, and sustainability. Growers, processors, packers, and knowledge partners from the Netherlands and other countries are invited to attend.
Exhibitor registration for the 2026 edition opens on 12 January.
