Bejo Open Days welcomes growers and supply chain partners from 23 to 27 September

Special focus on red pointed cabbage and popular snacking vegetables

From 23 to 27 September 2025, Bejo will host its annual Open Days in Warmenhuizen. During this event, growers and chain partners from the Netherlands and abroad will have the opportunity to discover the latest varieties, innovations in seed technology, and advancements in sustainable mechanisation. The event will also offer plenty of opportunities to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the sector.

New varieties
In close collaboration with customers and partners, Bejo continuously investigates developments in the field, the market, and among consumers. These insights form the foundation for developing new and improved vegetable varieties, enabling growers worldwide to produce healthy and flavourful crops. The demo fields will showcase varieties selected for their disease resistance, storage quality, yield, flavour, and visual appeal.

Innovative vegetable concepts
Bejo will present inspiring vegetable concepts that combine taste, health, and convenience in surprising ways. Special focus will be given to leafy vegetables within the supply chain, the new red pointed cabbage variety Red Power, and popular snack vegetables such as carrots, kohlrabi, and celery. By invitation only, an exclusive leafy vegetable symposium will take place this year under the title: "All you need for salad, Bejo has it!" In the foil greenhouse dedicated to fruit crops, Bejo will showcase a wide range of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and gherkins. The emphasis will be on the latest innovations and developments within these crops.

Guided tours and demonstrations
Visitors will gain insights into breeding, seed treatment, and technology through guided tours of the Seed Processing Facility and the Research Centre. The Seed Research Expo will provide an in-depth look at current topics in seed research, including seed quality, treatment methods, and pollination. There will also be a focus on bee research conducted by Bejo's own beekeepers. Demonstrations of innovative sowing and weed control techniques, provided by various agricultural suppliers, will take place in the demo fields. Additionally, the use of natural enemies in crop protection will be demonstrated.
