According to the ProarĂ¡ndanos industry association, up to week 16, Peru has exported 317,997 tons of blueberries; a new milestone just a week before the end of the current season (2024-2025).
"This represents a 42% increase compared to the previous season and serves as confirmation of the growth of Peruvian blueberries in the world," says ProarĂ¡ndanos.
Conventional blueberries accounted for 283,533 tons (a 42% increase) of the total exported, while organic fruit stood at 283,533 tons (51% more).
97% of the volume (307,080 tons) was transported by sea. Another 9,658 tons were shipped by air, and 1,259 tons traveled by road.
