GreenLand Group -

"In Colombia we wake up every day determined to generate well-being and progress for those around us"

The GreenLand Group from Colombia promotes its sustainability strategy with a triple impact model: economic, social and environmental. "At GreenLand, we wake up every day determined to generate well-being and progress for those around us. We choose sustainability as our route to make a positive impact, ensuring value and prosperity in balance with nature and people," stated Victor Manuel Henriquez Restrepo, manager of GreenLand.

The Group has made sustainability the central axis of its business strategy, projecting a development model that balances economic, social and environmental aspects with a comprehensive vision of the future and a permanent commitment to the country, the well-being of its employees and the development of the local communities and regions.

With more than 40 years in the market, this Colombian business group has built an agro-industrial ecosystem that transcends traditional production. It integrates innovative practices that generate value for all its stakeholders. Its sustainability strategy is not an add-on, but the core of its business model.

GreenLand's commitment is based on six guiding principles: transparency, impact measurement, efficiency, action without harm, pursuit of excellence and closeness to its stakeholders. This philosophy translates into concrete actions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Among GreenlandĀ“s top achievements in recent years is their certification as a carbon neutral company, obtained in 2022 and maintained to date, as well as the implementation of solar panels in its operations to help cover the Group's energy needs.

The company has also set aside more than 1,550 hectares as conservation areas where it works to preserve biodiversity. Over the course of four years, it has planted more than 36,300 native trees.

The groupĀ“s strategy encompasses multiple dimensions. On the agricultural front, it grows healthy products on 5,543 hectares of bananas, 1,115 hectares of avocado and 177 hectares of lemons, implementing models of regenerative agriculture and circular economy. On the industrial front, its company Agriplast develops packaging solutions with a sustainable approach, while CFS Logistics moves 41,000 containers annually with efficiency and safety criteria, and Control B focuses on crop health through aerial spraying with state-of-the-art aircraft and drones. Bi-Origen, a biotechnology laboratory, develops bioinputs whose active agents are fungi and biocontrol bacteria of native origin, with the premise of regenerative agriculture.

The social impact is also significant. With close to 5,000 direct jobs, the Group has promoted equal opportunities with a goal of increasing female participation from 10% to 20% in its banana operation. The GreenLand Foundation has impacted more than 1.5 million people in 36 years.

The 2030 vision includes goals in line with the care and conservation of biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, community transformation, maximization of social impact and development of strategic alliances. The model seeks to make businesses catalysts for positive change.
