SunFed teams up with social impact brand

SunFed Produce has partnered with social impact brand Thx! which will help expand their social impact and social responsibility programs.

Headquartered in southern Arizona near Nogales, SunFed is a fresh produce company providing both fruits and vegetables. With this partnership, Sunfed will feature farm workers on the labels of its products and promote farm workers by helping them achieve their dreams. Sunfed will also participate in Thx!’s Seeding Futures program, furthering its commitment to education and community development.

Under the program, fruit is sold with labels featuring pictures of real farm workers and a QR code that can be scanned to access a video about the worker's life and dream. The video ends with the farm worker expressing gratitude to the consumer for helping make his/her dream come true.

“This partnership with Thx! The Human Face of Sustainability, emphasizes SunFed’s dedication to creating a positive impact on the lives of farm workers and their families in Northern Mexico and Southwestern United States, a new geographic area for Thx!,” said Raul Fernandez, chief imagination officer at Thx! “Through this collaboration, we are excited to contribute to accomplishing more caseworker dreams and aspirations, paving the way for a better future.”

“Collaborating with Thx! reinforces our commitment to honor and support labor in the ag community and also allows us to connect more deeply with consumers in today’s increasingly socially conscious market. This fosters a sense of trust and loyalty,” said JC Myers, vice president sales & marketing at SunFed Produce.
