From March 2 – 4 Starr Ranch Growers will be showing their latest apple variety Karma at Southern Exposure’s Orlando show. “It is a new and exclusive Starr Ranch Growers proprietary variety that we’ve been working on for the last ten years,” says Dan Davis with the company. “We believe it will do well because of its gorgeous bicolor skin, impressive floral aromas, abundant juiciness, and crisp texture,” added Davis. The variety is a cross between Fuji, Golden Delicious, and Honeycrisp.
Other characteristics that meet the needs of today’s consumer include a long-lasting shelf life and being naturally resistant to browning.
For every Karma sold, a slice of the proceeds will go towards promoting healthy eating for children.
