In order to facilitate the daily work of the sector’s professionals, UgoFresh has made available an application, since September 2021, that allows them to exchange information inherent to the fruit and vegetable trade.
“The idea is not to revolutionize the way these professionals work but, on the contrary, to provide them with an adapted tool that helps them keep their work habits while making the daily exchanges between suppliers and clients more fluid,” explains Julien Martin of UgoFresh.
Already present on the markets of Rungis and Saint-Charles, the company is now approaching the retail sector as well. “All the members of our team come from the fruit and vegetable world. We all know the problems that professionals of the sector are facing and we are also well aware that many of them are attached to their way of working and do not particularly want to change it. We are therefore providing them with a product which is both easy to use and independent of their own system (gateways have been planned to avoid double entry). The goal is to bring wholesalers and retailers added value without asking them to change their habits.”
The digital platform proposed by UgoFresh allows both buyers and sellers to save precious time. “The application helps suppliers to present a continuously updated and interactive price list to all or some of their clients. The buyer can then choose to consult this data on a mobile application and/or PC and to call its supplier or place an order via the application.
UgoFresh also integrates a powerful marketing tool that manages the clients’ emails by organizing with a simple click, for example, an email campaign (each email is personalized for each client: automatic calculation of prices per client, assortment…).
In just 5 seconds, a supplier can create a story presenting a dozen offers and send an email to 500 clients to communicate about a promotion, which saves a considerable amount of time.”
UgoFresh is available via a monthly subscription (no commitment). It is also possible for companies to have the platform in their own name. And in order to facilitate communication even more between professionals of the sector, the UgoFresh platform is available in 6 languages.
