Unnamed potato processing company eyes spot at Pocatello Regional Airport

An undisclosed company plans to process locally sourced potatoes into frozen fries and dehydrated products within a refrigerated warehouse to be built at Pocatello Regional Airport. According to Frigitek Industrial Parks officials, the tenant planning to locate in the Pocatello refrigerated warehouse intends to process 153 million pounds of raw potatoes per year.

Frigitek, based in Washington, DC, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony about a year ago to kick off construction of the 280,000-square-foot cold-storage facility. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, progress on the warehouse was stalled.
