The Department of Agriculture of Sri Lanka has discovered a mango variety that provides produce year-round. The variety has been named “Tirunelveli Yellow mango".
The Director of the National Agriculture Information & Communication Centre, S. Periyasmi stated that this mango variety was discovered following experiments conducted for over 20 years by the officials of the Tirunelveli Agricultural Research Station.
