After the general strike backed by the Port Union on October 23 and 24, most of Chile's ports and terminals are starting to operate normally. However, this situation could change in the next hours or days, as the social unrest continues, despite the reduction in the extension of curfew schedules determined by the military authorities of different areas of the country.
According to the latest information, the Port of Arica is operating under normal conditions. The terminal of the Port Company of Iquique (EPI) and the Iquique Terminal International (ITI) will resume the operations they suspended on the first and second shifts of October 25. However, there could be a stoppage in the third shift due to the curfew. The port of Patillos and the port of Patache: Collahuasi / TMP will maintain normal operations.
Antofagasta Terminal Internacional (ATI) will resume operations in the first shift of October 25, although there is uncertainty as to whether they will continue operating in the second and third shifts due to the curfew. The port of Colossus works normally. Puerto de Mejillones operates normally. There were no operations in Totoralillo on October 24 due to the mobilization of its workers. The Interacid terminal maintains normal operations. In Angamos, operations are expected to continue normally.
On October 24, the port of Caldera / Chañaral stopped operations due to the mobilization of its workers.
Puerto Coquimbo operates normally just like the port of Los Vilos / Punta Chungo. In Huasco, operations were stopped during October 24.
Puerto Ventanas remained inactive on October 24 and the third shift had to be suspended due to the curfew ordered by the government. The Oxiquim terminal, the Enap terminal, and the Bato terminal will operate normally.
The port of Valparaiso South Pacific Terminal (TPS) operates under normal conditions, although its third shift on October 24 had to be suspended due to the curfew. TCVAL was inoperative on October 24, but it is expected to be reactivated at 8: 00 hours on October 25.
In the port of San Antonio, San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) will begin operations at 8:00 am and will confirm if the second shift continues due to curfew. Puerto Panul would restart its operations at 8:00 a.m. PCE (DP World San Antonio) will restart its operations with the first shift.
In the Biobio region, the ports of Talcahuano, San Vicente, Lirquen, and Penco suspended operations on October 24 and information on their current status is still pending. Operations in the port of Colonel were resumed with the first shift of October 25 but will be suspended in the second shift two hours prior to the curfew and the continuity of the third shift will be confirmed. CAP Terminal stopped its operations on October 24 due to the mobilizations. Terminal ENAP and Terminal Oxiquim perform their operations normally.
In Puerto Montt, Empormontt stopped operations on October 24 and news is expected; the same situation happened in Corral and Chincui. Operations are carried out normally in Calbuco.
In Punta Arenas, EPAustral Muelle Prat and Mardones Dock are operating normally. Cabo Negro, Gregorio, and Mina invierno are also operating normally.
