Largest Swiss retail group shows interest in Georgian hazelnuts

Migros Group, Switzerland's largest retail company has shown interest in Georgia's hazelnut industry.

Representatives from Migros Group visited Georgia’s Ministry of Agriculture today where they discussed ways to deepen cooperation with Georgia in terms of hazelnut production.

At the meeting officials from Migros Group accented on the high quality of hazelnuts that Georgia was producing. It was noted that Switzerland was going to implement an important project in the hazelnut sector of Georgia.

Georgia’s Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili highlighted the potential of the hazelnut sector and noted the hazelnut technical regulation that was created in order to further develop the sector.
