Fruits containing exallomochlus hispidus intercepted in the Wuxi Port

Recently, the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in Wuxi intercepted fruits containing harmful insects including exallomochlus hispidus and neofabraea malicorticis when checking the luggage carried by passengers of inbound international flights.

Exallomochlus hispidus was found in the mangosteens brought by a passenger arriving on a flight from Bali. This was the first time that this foreign harmful species was found in the airport in Jiangsu Province.
