"I'm allergic to diets"

Rachel Skelton, a 45 year old mother in Queensland was enjoying her every day snack when death knocked at her door. She quickly rushed to the hospital where "The doctor explained that i was in anaphylactic shock and I was given an adrenalin injection... immediately my airways started to clear," Ms Skelton said.

Over years she kept having episodes, different foods making her swell abnormally and finally after four years of not knowing what was safe to eat, Doctors finally told her she had a rare and incurable 'pollen food syndrome'. This syndrome causes the body to mistake fruits and vegetables as pollen or another type of threat and attacks.
