The Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) will carry out a new promotional campaign, at the points of sale, to provide information about the culinary properties of Purple garlic, and its health benefits, directly to the consumer.
As part of the actions organised by the PGI to raise awareness about the difference between Purple Garlic from Pedroñeras and other varieties, a number of promotions, targeted directly to consumers, have already been carried out. As part of these, information leaflets are handed out addressing the peculiarities of purple garlic, as well as some garlic heads for consumption and different types of promotional and informative material.
