Moldova aims to boost exports to Belarus

Moldova is open to the implementation of joint projects for infrastructure development with Belarus, in order to increase the export of Moldovan goods, including fruit, vegetables and wine, to Belarus and the Eurasian Economic Union markets.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Moldova, Pavel Filip, after a meeting with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, held in Bishkek in the framework of a meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS member states, reports NOI.md.

The sides discussed the prospects for dialogue in the development of relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister praised the momentum gained by the development of bilateral cooperation and political dialogue. At the same time, P. Filip welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus to Moldova, to be held on 2 and 3 October, stressing that this would be a good opportunity to identify new opportunities to deepen bilateral relations and sign partnerships in new areas of cooperation.

In turn, Belarusian President Lukashenko praised the constructive bilateral relations with Moldova, based on friendship and mutual respect. The Head of State called for the full use of the opportunities provided by the Free Trade Zone and also noted the importance of strengthening trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
