Russia: Almost 20 tonnes of fresh produce destroyed by Pskov in August

In August, the Russian Pskov region destroyed (by mechanical means) 11 batches of fruits and vegetables with a total weight exceeding 19.9 tonnes, as reported by the official website of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor.

Official sources stated that the destruction took place in the framework of the execution of the presidential decree limiting the import of products subject to sanctions.

Looking at the total data since the beginning of 2016, it is worth noting that the Pskov region ranks second nationwide when it comes to the number of batches of banned products identified and destroyed. The first place is shared by the Bryansk and Smolensk regions.
