The Fresh From Florida Summit was recently hosted by Port Tampa Bay and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The summit looked at the potential trade opportunities which will open up with the completion of the Panama Canal expansion and other global trends.
Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam was the keynote speaker during the event and said a confluence of events are putting Florida growers in a good spot for trade.
