Val Venosta participates in first edition of Mac Fruit Attraction Egypt

VI.P- Val Venosta is attending the first edition of Mac Fruit Attraction in Cairo as part of a strategy to consolidate its presence in leading markets for this consortium such as Egypt and other regions of the African continent.

VI.P is participating along with VOG, Melinda, La Trentina and Melaví, sharing a stand with Assomela, the Italian Association of apple producers (Hall 5, Stand F38).

The decision of VI.P to be present at this new sectoral event is based on positive experience over the last few years at other trade fairs, such as Mac Fruit and Fruit Attraction. Both have united to create this new event that will allow the Italian association, one of the most important apple producers, present in 50 markets worldwide with the brands Val Venosta, Bio Val Venosta and Amélie, to expand their contact with current clients and come into contact with new buyers and distributors.

The North of Africa and the Middle East are important regions for VI.P, especially Egypt, where the association has reached, together with clients, a constant presence in the apple market and an increased distribution of its products, especially the Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Gala variety, which enjoy considerable demand by traders and consumers in a market where VI.P is present all year round with its products.

Seven cooperatives make up the consortium that produces an annual average of 350,000 tons of apples from the Venosta Valley-in the Italian Alps-, with Protected Geographical Indication. An enclave with a microclimate whose conditions (production area between 500 and 1,000 meters in altitude, 300 days of sunshine a year, an intense temperature difference between day and night as well as about 500 mm of rainfall per year) are perfect for the cultivation of high-quality apples. 92% of crops from VI.P follow integrated farming techniques, while the remaining 8% is fully biological.

VI.P wish to promote these characteristics through the Mac Fruit Attraction sectoral event which is being held from 4 to 7 May and, attended by area manager Sepp Zöschg and sales manager Martin Wellenzohn.
