Recently, a new big wholesale vegetable market has been opened in the city of Taizhou. Total investment in the project has gone up to 20 billion Yuan and the market covers 400,000 square meter. Vegetable trade is big in the city of Taizhou. In total there are 280 agriculture and vegetable markets with a total annual turnover of 21 billion Yuan. The opening of the new market in Nonggang is expected to bring vegetable prices down by 15%.
