Great growth for Rema 1000, northern Norway

The Rema 1000 stores in the northern Norwegian cities of Bardufoss and Sørreisa registered good growth in 2014.

In 2014, the Rema 1000 store in Sørreisa sold goods worth 34.5 million crowns (3.84 million Euro). This represents a 13.6% increase compared to 2013. Last year, the store had already registered a 10.5% growth.

Rema 1000 Sørreisa was the store growing the most in northern Norway and it expects this trend to continue in 2015.

"Growth will be the result of an even stronger focus on the fruit and vegetable department, especially organics, but also local goods," said the company in a press release.

This emphasis is the main reason why the Rema 1000 store in Bardufoss sold goods worth 72 million crowns in 2014 (8 million Euro), which represents an 8.5% increase compared to 2013.

The store also comes high on the ranking of stores with the greatest growth in the north.
