The retailers Carrefour, DIA and Aldi continue to expand in the Spanish market with the opening of three new stores in Murcia, Madrid and Seville, respectively.
Carrefour keeps on expanding along with Cepsa service centres with the opening of a new franchised store in Águilas, Murcia. The centre operates under the Carrefour Express brand and is located in the C-3211, PK 94.6.
The new store offers customers a sales area of 95 square metres, with a range of around 1,100 products and focuses on fresh, local produce.
For its part, DIA has opened a new store in Madrid, on Calle Virgen de los Peligros, 9. It operates under the DIA Market brand and offers a sales area of 265 square metres.
The store, whose opening has allowed for the creation of eight jobs, will be open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:30 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:30. With this new store, DIA strengthens its presence in the Region of Madrid where, by the end of 2013, it had 415 stores.
Lastly, on 12 November, the German discounter Aldi will open its fifteenth store in the province of Seville, to be located on Brenes road, on the corner of Ganimedes street in the city of Seville.
This new store has a sales area of 1,000 square metres, with a total of 95 parking spaces. This opening is just one of several projects in Andalusia, including the remodelling of the store located in Los Remedios, which will expand the sales floor by about 150 square metres.
