Indonesia: Alfamart expansion plans 2015

Indonesian convenience retailer Alfamart plans to invest up to IDR 2tn in expansion next year, reports the Jakarta Globe.

Spending in line with 2014
Alfamart's parent company intends to use the funds both for network expansion and distribution centres to support growth in the year ahead. If the retailer invests at the top end of its estimate, IDR 2tn, this will place expansion roughly in line with this year, supporting new store openings at the same pace of around 1,200. This will accelerate total store numbers well past the 10,000 mark.
