Russian Ministry of Agriculture: Investment project for potato production approved

The Ministry of Agriculture approved an investment project of new agricultural production in Shimsky region. The project implies building of potato store and potato-processing factory. The investor is an Estonian company UVIKOM. The estimated output is 100 000 MT of potatoes a year.

The project is divided into several parts, - explains the governor of the Novgorod Region Sergey Mitin. Production and processing of potatoes is the first part, and it has been approved. The land plot and machinery has been purchased.

Moreover, the investment project includes construction of an ice cream factory and livestock farm. The implementation of the project will create over 1200 vacant job positions. The total investment is estimated at 20 billion rubles (400 million Euro).
