COOP Denmark extends online grocery reach
Ability to deliver outside of Copenhagen
Currently, Irma delivers in Copenhagen and the surrounding areas, offering one hour delivery slots. The partnership will mean that the retailer can fulfil online orders to more of Denmark, including Jutland and the island of Funen.
The new service will offer two day delivery outside of Copenhagen, with delivery prices of DKK 59 (€7.91) Customers spending DKK 1,200+ (€161) will receive free delivery.
Agreement is ‘with the country’s leading distributor’
Commenting on the development, Gregers Wedell-Wedellsborg, executive vice president at Irma.dk, said ‘We have reached this agreement with the country’s leading distributor, Post Danmark, to strengthen services for our customers and reach out to a larger part of Denmark. This ensures reliable and flexible distribution, and we look forward to jointly developing this business’.
Exciting development for the wider Danish grocery market
This expansion comes at an exciting time for Coop Danmark as its main competitor Dansk Supermarked does not yet offer a comprehensive online grocery service in Denmark.
