Kroger to reduce water use to assist in conservation

Kroger Co. plans to reduce water consumption at its supermarkets by 5 percent this year, according to the company’s annual sustainability report.

Kroger’s goal is part of the company’s effort to move toward the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Zero Waste threshold of 90 percent at all Kroger retail locations.
