Re-Vision to roll out self-scanning solution to additional 100 Tesco stores
Tesco introduced the new shopping concept to customers under the “Scan-as-you-shop” name in January 2010. Since that time, monitoring the performance of the system has shown that the relaxed shopping experience offered to larger basket shoppers, promotes Tesco’s service-driven and customer-oriented philosophy, and has increased customer loyalty.
Sally Marriott, Retail Development IT Director at Tesco, comments on why the combination of Re-Vision My-Scan solution and Motorola MC17T retail mobile computer has been chosen for the roll-out: “the decision to proceed with Re-Vision and Motorola was made after considerable research into the solution.
