China: Jiangxi citrus exports last year reached a record high

According to the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, total citrus exports of Jiangxi Province has reached a record high last year. According to statistics, only through self export, Nanfeng County alone has exported 300,000 tons of Nanfeng tangerine (14 times higher than the previous year); the south of Jiangxi has exported 39,000 tons of navel orange (11 times higher than the previous year), with a total value of 32.52 million USD. Citrus has become the second largest agricultural export in Jiangxi after roasted eel. It accounts for the province’s 13% of total exports of agricultural products.

The Inspection and Quarantine agencies of the provinces of Guangdong, Shenzhen, Guangxi, Zhuhai, Fujian, and Xiamen, have all signed a cooperation agreement with Jiangxi. The agreement allows Jiangxi agricultural products to have "zero checks" on the port, loaded and directly shipped.
