DHL Express launches website for exporters

DHL Express has launched a new website, www.exportacondhl.com; a portal intended to serve as a reference point for small and medium companies looking for information to aid them in the internationalisation process of their activities. The portal compiles all the necessary contents to start or improve their export activities, including practical information about some of the world's main economies.

Nicolás Mouze, marketing director of DHL Express Iberia, explained that "international activities are possible regardless of the company's size. It is essential to be well-prepared, with accurate information and the right partners. In fact, the number of companies selling to overseas clients increased by 9.5% in 2013. At DHL, we understand entrepreneurs, because that is how our business started."

At the new portal, small and medium firms have access to various sections, including:

Internationalisation of your business: advice and useful documents for a successful export process; necessary documents for the customs clearance; financial risks; glossary of useful terms, etc.

Working with DHL: information about the company and its international transport activities, including the shipment of restricted goods, how to create an account, how to contact the company, etc.

Information about destinations and origins: information about export requirements for specific destinations, such as the United States, Russia, China or Brazil, among others.

Exports are currently becoming the engine of Spain's economy. According to data from the Ministry of Economy, the country increased its export volumes by 5.2% in 2013.

Spain's business network is largely formed by small and medium firms, and their activities are thus fundamental for the country's economic recovery and job creation.
