AU: GP Graders win Victorian export award

GP Graders won the Governor of Victoria Export Awards 2013 category for Manufacturing, also going on to win the prestigious overall Victorian Exporter of the Year 2013 honour. The company has achieved the two recognitions in its 50th anniversary year.

Established in 1963 as a family business manufacturing fruit grading machinery for Australian orchardists, GP Graders began exporting fruit grading and packing machinery in the late 1990s and has now grown to be one of the world’s largest manufacturers in cherry grading and packing technology worldwide supplying most major cherry packers in all leading markets.

Their AirJet cherry graders use highly sophisticated camera technology to determine the size, shape, colour and, most importantly, quality of the cherry. This year GP Graders opened a factory in the US to help support its almost 700 per cent sales growth in the region.
