US (IL): Van Drunen Farms introduces freeze-dried beans

Van Drunen Farms (VDF) offers Freeze-Dried Beans, a sturdy ingredient that can be added to many dishes, and can aid in weight management and promote heart health.

Beans are naturally high in fiber, antioxidants, protein, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and zinc, and can help with weight management and promote heart health. The freeze-drying process allows the beans to retain much of their original nutrition, shape, flavor and color. Beans can be used in a variety of applications, including burritos, soups, sauces, salsa, pet foods and vegetarian dishes. Once rehydrated, they can be added to salads, pasta dishes and rice dishes.

Freeze-Dried Beans are also sturdy, and can withstand heat, stirring and handling. They hold their color while hydrating and limit unwanted coloring of cooking liquid during preparation.

VDF offers Freeze-Dried Black Beans, Garbanzo Beans, Kidney Beans, Lentils and White Beans. Additionally, all Freeze-Dried Beans are certified kosher. VDF also offers Freeze-Dried Mango Strips and Freeze-Dried Cranberries.
