Freshmax group focuses on strong growth plans
The shareholders of Freshmax have signaled their intention to accelerate the growth and development of the business, with a particular emphasis on new organic growth initiatives and mergers and acquisitions in the Pacific Rim that will benefit growers, customer base and support the consolidation of industry players.
The company’s Chairman and founder, David G Smith said “that whilst 2013 to date can be characterised as a quiet period of consolidation for the Group, a number of key growth initiatives and acquisitions have been identified for the future”.
Senior management changes announced today reflect a greater emphasis on growth, development and mergers & acquisitions in the Pacific Rim which will benefit growers, customers and shareholders. Ross Kane, CEO Global Commercial Operations, assumes the role of Group CEO, supported by Helen Waterworth, Group CFO. Current Group CEO, Tony Mahoney is promoted into a new role heading up mergers and acquisitions in Australia and Asia. Tony also joins the Freshmax Pty Board as a resident Australian director. David Smith will continue as Group Chairman maintaining the focus on acquisitions within New Zealand.
