Philippine-Bahraini firms ink joint banana plantation venture

A multi-million investment on growing Cavendish bananas in Sarangani province would soon supply the demands of Asian and Middle East markets.

These were the projected markets that RP Bahrain Harvest, Inc., a joint venture between AMA Group of Companies and NEH Group of Companies, disclosed during the project’s groundbreaking recently.

The project is expected to start this year in an 85-hectare plantation in the village of Domolok in the capital town Alabel.

Land development would immediately take-off as soon as the irrigation facility arrived from Israel.

RPBH would initially put up P85 million for the project.
