Germany: Edeka Nord continues its positive sales trend

Edeka Nord has continued its positive sales trend from the last few years, in 2012 as well. Independent retailers were able to achieve a sales increase of 4% in the last fiscal year, reports the German website Gabot.de.

The group results for Edeka Nord rose in 2012 from 11.9 million Euro to 31.2 million Euro. Especially the meat department had a good development in sales (+8.4%). The baked goods also did incredibly well (+6.3%).
 
The turnover for Edeka Nord increased by 2.3% in the first five months of 2013. If the sales trend from the first few months of this year continue through to the end of the year, the company will reach its planned annual results.
