As pepper crops are very popular in the Santa Croce Camerina area, the star of the event was the Karlone F1 pepper (a yellow three-quarter variety).
The fruit has a thick and consistent bright yellow epicarp, it is 20-22 cm long and has a 10-12 cm diameter. The plant is vigorous and reflowering. Its characteristics attracted very much the attention of the operators in the agricultural sector.
Nursery gardeners, producers and retailers have analysed the characteristics that make Karlone F1 a success.
In addition, farmers who had already cultivated Karlone F1 peppers have shared their experiences and have guaranteed the good qualities of the product.
This confrontation meant that Southern Seeds could get to know the needs of the producers quicker.
The company took advantage of the event to present also other varieties such as Bella Vittoria F1, Wanda F1, Venere Nera F1 and Gloria F1 aubergines; Ceryto F1, Hathor F1 and Ipparino F1 cherry tomatoes; Casero F1, Frankone F1, Mistral F1 and Centonove F1 yellow peppers; Edad F1, Durendal F1 and King F1 red peppers; Presidente F1 and Alan F1 green peppers and Novecento F1 red tomatoes.
