Carrefour launches online shop in Indonesia

Retail giant Carrefour Indonesia is launching its online shopping platform, enabling its customers to purchase items from the comfort from their home. They will still need to come over to the store and pick it up, but the company claims this still speeds things up significantly. The program is called "Carrefour Click & Drive."

Items can be browsed on the website, and orders placed. The company says they can then be collected in as little as five minutes time. Payment is to be made only be credit card at them moment, thought Carrefour is thought to be looking at extending payment systems in the near future.

It's a similar type of project that the chain has already unveiled in its European stores.
