UK: Blight resistant GM potato developed

Scientists at the Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich say they've developed a genetically modified potato that's resistant to blight.

They have grown a traditional crop of potato next to a new GM variety and say while the traditional potatoes got blight, the GM crop are still healthy.

There plans to sell the technology to the US.
