US: Family Dollar expanding northwestwards
That would give Matthews-based Family Dollar a presence in all 48 contiguous states.
The retailer, which operates about 7,300 stores in 45 states, opened its first stores in California in November.
The company hasn’t set a timetable for expanding into the Northwest, spokesman Josh Braverman says.
He notes Family Dollar executives also believe the company has opportunity for growth in California, as well as for expanding in existing markets.
