SITCO was formed in 2009 due to a demand in the inspection industry for a new, competitive role player. The formation of the company was based on an initial two-client supplement but has progressed rapidly into servicing over fifty clients globally. In December 2010, SITCO was officially registered as a privately owned entity.
There are three primary core divisions in operation, namely:
Fresh and Processed Produce: (dealing with fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers, canned fruit, mushrooms, pasta, soups, dehydrated vegetables, dried fruit, vinegar, fruit juice, frozen fruit and vegetables, jam, jelly and marmalade, Rooibos, meat and Farm / Packhouse services including: yield estimates, harvesting, drenching, de-greening, fruit handling, sorting efficiency and packing efficiency,
Agricultural Commodities: dealing with CMA/SMA services, maize, wheat, soya beans, ground nuts, sunflower seed, sorghum and rice, and Metals and Minerals: dealing with CMA/SMA services, fertilizers and sampling of stock piles consisting of various Metals and Minerals.
