Quality Control Avocado
Position
A Quality Controller with knowledge and experience
- Perform and report quality inspections during loading, ripening, production and dispatch.
- Complete shelf life and accelerated ripening trials and report results.
- Work closely with the Technical and Production teams to understand customer quality performance and take action accordingly.
- Highlight quality performance at grower level.
- Provide guidance and support tot he packinghouse on product handling to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Assess stock quality to ensure product returns are maximized through appropriate stock rotation and usage.
- You report to the Quality Control Manager.
Profile
Passion for fresh and Avocado
Job requirements
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level.
- Experience in the fresh produce sector in a similar position to QC.
- Experience with avocado and/or mango is requiered.
- Knowledge of MS Office Excel and familiar with ERP, preferably MS D365.
- You already live in the Netherlands.
- Good physical condition.
- Driver's license and own transport.
- You are professional qualified for a fruit QC.
- Knowledge of common quality systems, such as HACCP and BRC.
- You communicate clearly and fluently at all levels and you have a good command of English.

Location
Poeldijk. Easily accessible from Rotterdam and The Hague via the A20, A4 and A13.
Offer
A full-time job with a lot of freedom and responsibility in a fun, small and informal team. Salary that matches your experience and expense allowance if you live further than 10km from Poeldijk. You work in a refrigerated warehouse at temperatures of +2 to +10 C and you are also willing to perform (light) physical work. You will mainly work during the week, occasionally in the evening and sometimes you will have to work on Saturday duty or on a national holiday, in rotation of course. Employment conditions are appropriate to the position within this ambitious company.
